# Installation

> How to manually install the PopLock resource pack for Minecraft Java Edition.

  This resource pack is designed for Minecraft 26.1. Using it with other versions may result in missing textures or visual glitches.

## Manual installation

<Note>
  You do not need to extract the ZIP file. Drop it directly into the pack folder as-is.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Download the resource pack">
    Download the resource pack ZIP file from the [PopLock GitHub repository](https://github.com/Scyne/PopLockRP).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the resource packs screen">
    Launch Minecraft, then from the main menu select **Options** → **Resource Packs**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the pack folder">
    Click **Open Pack Folder** in the bottom-left corner. This opens your system file browser to the correct directory.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the pack">
    Drag and drop the downloaded ZIP file into the folder that opened. You do not need to unzip it.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select the pack">
    Return to the Resource Packs screen in Minecraft. The pack will appear in the **Available** column on the left. Hover over it and click the arrow that appears to move it to the **Selected** column.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Apply">
    Click **Done**. Minecraft will reload its resources and apply the pack.

This pack targets **Minecraft 26.1** (Java Edition). It is not compatible with Bedrock Edition or Minecraft Education Edition.
